It uses finger to point on the screen rather than using pointing devices such as the mouse. There are many different types of touch screen technology. The most predominant types are Capacitive, Infrared, Resistive, and SAW (surface acoustic wave). They all have unique features that can be advantageous and disadvantageous for their usage.
